Guido Paulussen is born in Maastricht (The Netherlands). After his education at the Nederlandse Filmacademie in Amsterdam (1963) he fullfilled his career as a filmcameraman and director. There he was responsible for many programs about art. After this he picked up photography again and practicise this intensively since 1993. An important theme of his work is photographing places where time has changed structure and meaning. The original functions are disappeared. Series as “Silent Barns”, “Portraits of Farmers” and Agricultural Landscapes” show in this context the loss of farmers life. But time can also tell a story. Here you see his influence as a cinematographer. Therefore the increase of triptyces. He had expositions in various galleries, for instance in Maastricht and Amsterdam. Articles of his work appeared in the photographic magazine “FOTO”,the art magazine”TABLEAU”, DE VOLKSKRANT and in the regional newspapers.
